1/ RESTAURACJA LUMIERE, Hotel Edison Baranowo, ul. Wypoczynkowa 60
THE BEST OF THEM ALL! While the rest of the spots in the article have been placed by accident… LUMIÈRE definitely deserves the first place! LUMIÈRE – the interiors that delight, and the food, that you never forget! Try the excellent meats and wines, and make sure, that the climate easily adapts to the occasion – whether it’s a family dinner or business lunch. They also have a great area for kids, too, so Sunday afternoons you got already planned!
2/ HOUSE OF DONUTS, św. Marcin 27
Finally Poznan has its donut place! In House of Donuts you will eat delicious donuts in the price of 6 PLN per piece, in many flavor variations – from chocolate and vanilla-berry, through a mango or oreo, to those with a milk chocolate in many colors! Try also their vegan cakes and sets with drinks – they are tempting!
3/ GOŁE BABY, Wrocławska 17
Poznan Gastro Scene has a new place on the board – say hello to Gałe Baby at Wrocławska Street. In a small interior the owners serve taco fries, which are chips with tasty fillings. This snack costs from 13 PLN, and it’s perfect for two persons. Personally, we recommend you chilli con carne version and Janusz burger. PS. Gołe Baby are open even till 6am!
4/ KUCHNIA SOLEI, Wałecka 2
Strzeszyńskie Lake is known for many Poznan-based people as a place to relax, especially during the summer, but we explored this area also in a gastronomically way and surely, we can recommend you KUCHNIA SOLEI. Peace and quiet, forest and… delicious food. Inside the restaurant you can choose in which you will take your place, because the space is divided into the café and restaurant area. With a fairly short menu, you should try especially meat, fish and desserts – cheesecake and fondant are madness!
5/ TRATTORIA VICOLO, Marcelińska 96C/221
Italian restaurant, that you should visit! Although it is located a little further from the center – in the Marcelin district, this great atmosphere, famous Italian ingredients and tasty dishes are what make this place amazing! Apart from the permanent menu, where you can find classics, such as pastas and pizzas, everyday there is a new menu with italian options. Pizza BIANCA CON SPECK with great Italian ham is our favourite! Big LIKE for an interesting selection of wines straight from Italy, as well as openness for families with children.
6/ HOTEL & RESTAURACJA – GOŚCINIEC SUCHOLESKI, Suchy Las, Sucholeska 6
If you feel like classy and all spots in Poznan are boring for you… time to visit Gościniec Sucholeski! In the cozy interior try roasted breast of goose, or a traditional żurek. It is worth mentioning that the dishes served here are signed by Culinary Heritage of Wielkopolska, which means, that they are made from the highest quality local ingredients. Oh, and one more thing… Suchy Las is not the end of the world!
7/ AREPY, przy Teatrze Polskim w Poznaniu, 27 Grudnia 8/10
The most exotic discovery of this month! Yellow foodtruck located by the Teatr Polski serves arepas, which are famous snacks in South America. Arepas are mini-sandwiches made with bread on the basis of cornmeal and are filled with a variety of fillings. Our favorite is CARNE MECHADA with beef, onion jam and mimolette cheese. Summer is gonna be delicious!
8/ DOMU, Wrocławska 18
We feel, that this place is gonna be popular during SS17 season! Modern & very warm restaurant located in the place at Wroclawska Street, with big menu containing pizza, burgers, salads & main dishes based on meat & fish – everything at very low prices. We like the kids area, with pool & colorful balls!
9/ BAZYLIA & OREGANO, Wysoka 12
Restaurant in Poznan known for being evolutionized by Magda Gessler is located in a small place at Wysoka Street. Simple, modest interior, Italian card menu and cozy atmosphere are the elements for which we respect this spot. What else? They got a really large portions, that we can’t eat to the end! Pizza, pasta, soups – everyone will find something for yourself.
10/ WAŁEK, Naramowicka 215
Sister restaurant of known in the Śródka area NA WINKLU restaurant. Here you can eat polish dumplings – both from the water and from the oven, and also try soups and other traditional delicacies, so characteristic of the Polish cuisine.
